White Sox Clinch Crosstown Cup with 3-2 Win
The red-hot White Sox won their eleventh straight game with some help from a late Paul Konerko home run. The Sox now rest a game and a half back on the Minnesota Twins while the Cubs are 9 games back on the Cardinals and Reds. The Sox have definitely found some rhythm after a miserable start to the season. Juan Pierre and Alex Rios are the main reason for the offensive turnaround. Gordon Beckham, who has struggled all season, is finally making solid contact during this 11 game stretch which is a relief for Sox fans.
